Privacy policy

Effective 18 October 2026. Product: Offline Bank Statement Categorizer (web page and Chrome extension).

Your bank files. The files you drop are read by the page in your browser and held in memory. They are not uploaded, copied to any server, or sent to the developer. Closing the tab discards them. The app page's Content Security Policy only allows connections to Dodo Payments (dodopayments.com) for license checks, so it cannot send data elsewhere.

What is saved on your device. In your browser's local storage: the rules and merchant names you create, and, if you unlock Pro, your license key and the activation id Dodo Payments returns. Transactions are never saved. You can clear this by removing the key in the app and clearing site data.

What is sent, and when. Only when you press "Activate" with a license key (and when you press "Remove key from this browser"): the key, and the activation id on removal, are sent to Dodo Payments (dodopayments.com) to check the license and to free the activation. Dodo Payments' own privacy policy applies to that request. Nothing else is sent.

Analytics and tracking. None. No cookies set by this app or this website, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts, fonts or remote code. The website host (Cloudflare Pages) may keep standard server logs such as IP address and requested page.

Chrome extension. Requests no permissions. It only opens the app in a tab when you click its toolbar button. It does not read the pages you browse.

Purchases. Payments and customer data (such as your name and email address) are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, not by this app. The seller receives order details such as your email address from Dodo Payments in order to support you and process refunds.

Children, changes, contact. Not directed at children. Changes will be posted here with a new date. Contact: chtiwe007@gmail.com.
