How to export your bunq transactions to CSV
bunq can export a statement as PDF, CSV or MT940. Pick CSV. These are the steps from bunq's help centre.
In the app, from your profile
- Open your profile from the top-left corner.
- Choose Accounting.
- Choose Export Statement.
- Select the bank account, the time period, and a format (CSV).
- Tap Export Statement.
In the app, from one bank account
- Go to Home and open the account.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Export statement.
- Set the time period and format, then tap Export Statement.
On bunq Web (web.bunq.com)
- Log in and click the bank account.
- Open Settings.
- Click Export statement.
- Select the date range and format, then click Export.
Good to know
- Your account must be verified before bunq can export a statement.
- The "Include Attachments" toggle works only with PDF exports, so leave PDF aside for this purpose.
Have we tested a bunq file?
Partly, and not independently. Two public Dutch-language bunq samples (2018 and 2019 layouts, from an open-source importer project) were in the set we used while building the categorizer. We tuned the parser using that set, so a pass there is not proof it works on your file. bunq may have changed its CSV since then. We have not tested a current real bunq export.

Then categorize it free, offline
Open the categorizer, drop the CSV on the page, and it sorts every line into categories with monthly totals. The file is read inside your browser tab and is not uploaded.
Free: one file at a time, latest 3 months of it. Categories are automatic guesses; check them before using the numbers for tax. CSV only, no PDF.
