How to export your Monzo transactions to CSV
Monzo's app can export your transactions as a CSV for a date range you choose. These are the steps from Monzo's own help page.
Steps
- Tap the three vertical dots on your card.
- Tap Bank statements.
- Select the date range you want.
- Select CSV as the format. The other options are PDF and QIF.
Monzo says the export includes all your transactions, including those in Pots.
Good to know
- Monzo's page does not state a maximum date range or describe the CSV columns. UNKNOWN to us.
- The page we used is for the personal app. Monzo has separate help for business accounts, which we did not check.
Have we tested a Monzo file?
Partly, and not independently. One public sample of a Monzo export (a February 2018 file from an open-source importer project, UK layout) was in the set we used while building the categorizer. We tuned the parser using that set, so a pass there is not proof it works on your file. Monzo may have changed its columns since 2018. We have not tested a current real Monzo export.

Then categorize it free, offline
Open the categorizer, drop the CSV on the page, and it sorts every line into categories with monthly totals. The file is read inside your browser tab and is not uploaded.
Free: one file at a time, latest 3 months of it. Categories are automatic guesses; check them before using the numbers for tax. CSV only, no PDF.
