How to export your N26 transactions to CSV
N26's monthly balance statements are PDF only, but its "account activity" report can be downloaded as a CSV for a date range you pick. The steps below come from N26's support page.
Steps (N26 web app)
- From the Home tab, select your account or Space, then click Downloads.
- Under Account Activity, enter your start and end dates.
- Choose CSV as the format (the other option is PDF), then click Download.
N26 describes an alternative route for the PDF balance statements: Spaces tab, select your account or Space, Settings, then Balance Statements. Those are PDF only, so they will not work with a CSV tool.
Good to know
- N26's page describes this for the web app. Whether the mobile app offers the same, we do not know. UNKNOWN.
- The page does not state a maximum date range, and the page we read is N26's English (EU) support page. Other N26 markets may differ. UNKNOWN.
- If you have several Spaces, check whether each one needs its own download.
Have we tested an N26 file?
Partly, and not independently. One public N26 sample (a French-language file from an open-source converter project) was in the set we used while building the categorizer. We tuned the parser using that set, so a pass there is not proof it works on your file. We have not tested a current real N26 export.

Then categorize it free, offline
Open the categorizer, drop the CSV on the page, and it sorts every line into categories with monthly totals. The file is read inside your browser tab and is not uploaded.
Free: one file at a time, latest 3 months of it. Categories are automatic guesses; check them before using the numbers for tax. CSV only, no PDF.
