How to download your U.S. Bank transactions as CSV

U.S. Bank's online banking has a download icon on the Transactions tile with a spreadsheet (.CSV) option. The steps below are from U.S. Bank's own help article.

Steps (online banking on a computer)

  1. Select the account you want to view.
  2. In the Transactions tile, select the download icon in the upper-right corner.
  3. Choose the date range and the file format. The formats listed are Spreadsheet (.CSV), Quicken (.QFX) and QuickBooks (.qbo). Pick the spreadsheet one.
  4. Select Download, then Open file.

Good to know

Have we tested a U.S. Bank file?

No. None of the public sample files we tested came from U.S. Bank. Few of our samples are from US banks at all. If the categorizer does not recognise the layout, you can pick the date and amount columns yourself.

Then categorize it free, offline

Open the categorizer, drop the CSV on the page, and it sorts every line into categories with monthly totals. The file is read inside your browser tab and is not uploaded.
